Gravel Driveways

Gravel is an affordable, attractive and naturally permeable driveway option that suits country homes and modern properties alike. We install it over a compacted base with a weed membrane and gravel stabilisation grids, so it stays put, drains freely and doesn't rut under your car.

  • Gravel stabilisation grids to prevent rutting and migration
  • Weed-suppressing membrane over a compacted sub-base
  • A wide choice of decorative stone and shingle
  • Sleeper, block or steel edging to keep stone contained

Common Questions

Will the gravel spread onto my lawn and the road?

Not with gravel grids. The honeycomb grids lock the stones in place and our edging keeps them contained, so you'll see far less scatter than a loose gravel driveway.

Do gravel driveways need planning permission?

No. Gravel is permeable, so it meets the drainage rules for front gardens without needing planning permission.
