Resin-Bound Driveways

Resin-bound surfacing mixes natural aggregate with a clear resin and trowels it to a smooth, seamless finish. It's fully permeable, so rainwater drains straight through, and it needs very little maintenance. It's a clean, modern look that suits both new builds and period homes.

  • UV-stable resin that won't yellow or discolour in sunlight
  • Fully permeable, so no planning permission is needed for drainage
  • Dozens of aggregate blends, from warm golds to cool greys
  • Laid over a new sub-base or suitable existing tarmac or concrete

Common Questions

What's the difference between resin-bound and resin-bonded?

Resin-bound mixes the stones into the resin for a smooth, permeable surface. Resin-bonded scatters loose stone onto a resin layer, giving a rougher finish that isn't permeable. We recommend resin-bound for driveways.

Can resin be laid over my existing driveway?

Often, yes. If your current tarmac or concrete is sound and free of major cracks, we can lay resin straight over it, saving time and cost. We'll check this during your free survey.
